Condition Report
A cased set of Edwardian silver and ivory-handled fish knives and forks for six place settings, each having stylised foliate engraving, hallmarked Isaac Ellis & Sons, Sheffield 1901, one dated 1900, length of knives 8.75" (22cm). Together with a further cased part set of eleven ivory-handled fruit knives and forks, also foliate engraved, the silver ferrules hallmarked John Sanderson, Sheffield 1901, one dated 1900, length of knives 7.75" (20cm). Purchasing information-
All with scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing. Both examples with discolouration, wear and splits to ivory handles. Some prongs of forks and some blades bent and misshapen. Some pitting, small indentations and small knocks.
First set has vacant lower tray to case.
One knife to second set badly bent at ferrule, and blade sits at an angle.
One fork and one knife missing to second set.
Cases both displaying general wear.
