A mid-twentieth century small silver cheese toasting dish, of rectangular form with wooden handle and raised upon four hoof feet, the hinge opening cover with shell thumb-piece and foliate detailed border, enclosing a scroll surround shield surmounted with a lion. Hallmarked Barker Ellis Silver Co, Birmingham 1968. Length including handle 6" (15.2 cm).
