Condition Report

A turn of the nineteenth century matched silver tea service, comprising tea, coffee and hot water pots, a twin-handled sugar bowl and a cream jug, each of oval bellied form with scalloped rim, crest and motto engraving to one side and raised on trefid feet, with stained wood handles and finials. Hallmarked Mappin Brothers, London 1900/1901, hot water pot hallmarked John Thomas Heath & John Hartshorne Middleton, London 1899. Height of coffee pot including handle 8.5" (21.5 cm), total gross weight 61.71 ozt (1919 grams). (5).

Purchasing information
    Appears in good overall condition, displaying some general light surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing. A few minor surface dints and nicks. Minor knocks to some of the feet causing slight wobbles, mainly to hot water and cream jug. Hinged lids all appear in good working order, tea and hot water pots close flush, coffee pot lid rises slightly. Possible repair around join of one of the sugar bowl handles. Rubbing to engraved crests. Hallmarks rubbed but legible including matching part hallmarks to lids.
