A mid 20th century 14ct gold sapphire and old-cut diamond cocktail ring. Sapphire calculated weight 1.40cts, based on estimated dimensions of 6.5 by 6.2 by 3.7mms. Principal diamonds estimated total weight 1.20cts, G-H colour, VS-SI clarity. Estimated total diamond weight 2.10cts. Stamped 585. Approximate ring size T. 12.6gms.

  • Overall condition good. Light to moderate general wear.
  • Band off-round. Shows evidence of resizing.
  • Larger diamonds estimated 0.60ct each, G-H colour, VS-SI clarity. One with small shallow chip near the girdle.
  • Non-principal diamonds estimated G-I colour, VS-SI clarity.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Sapphire is a fairly intense, deep blue hue, well saturated, with good clarity.

  • Sapphire in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Length of ring head 2.8cms. Width 1.8cms.
