A French silver coffee pot.

Description

Condition Report

A French silver coffee pot of bulbous form, having foliate and bead borders and further decorated with foliate motifs to the spout, handle terminals and three scrolled feet, with single engraved initial and stained wood handle. Struck with Minerva mark alongside maker's mark for Etienne-Auguste Courtois (1834-1847, Paris). Maximum height including handle measures 7 5/8 inches (19.5 cm), gross weight 14.61 ozt (454.5 grams).

Purchasing information
    The coffee pot displays some general wear, surface scratches, marks and tarnishing in keeping with the age and use. Residues of polish. A few minor dints. Hinged lid appears in working order. The top fixing pin of the handle is loose so the handle moves a little.
