Condition Report
A Chinese export silver card case, the rounded rectangular form decorated in low relief with a scene of two figures in a sampan surrounded by mountains and trees, with bamboo stalks and birds to the reverse, all against a textured ground. Stamped WS alongside a character mark, probably Woshing, (Shanghai, 1870s-1910s), height 3 1/2 inches (9 cm). Together with an Indian card case, embossed with figures and serpents to each side, height 4 inches (10 cm). Gross weight 4.53 ozt (141 grams). (2).

Purchasing information-
Chinese case appears in good condition, displaying some general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some contact surface marks to the rim of the lower part of the case from the removable cover. Minor loss of definition to the decoration. Maker's mark is clear and legible.
Indian case tests as low grade silver, approx. 64-67%. Also with tarnishing and general surface wear, marks and scratches. Residues of polish. Hinged lid in good working order. Appears unmarked.
