Condition Report

ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Submariner COMEX bracelet watch. Issue number 205. Circa 1973. Stainless steel case with calibrated bezel, helium escape valve to nine and engraved case back. Reference 5513, serial 3530770. Signed automatic calibre 1520. Black dial with luminous hour markers. Fitted to a signed stainless steel Oyster bracelet with Fliplock clasp. 39mm.

Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible to the naked eye.
  • The dial appears to have small areas where it may have been refinished or repainted around the six and nine hour markers. Areas of the dial show dark spotting visible under a 4x loupe.
  • The hands appear to be Rolex replacements. Hands show marks and wear.
  • Glass has noticeable scratches and marks. Chip to the edge of the glass at six.
  • Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints. Rotating bezel rotates. The bezel appears to be a Rolex replacement but is in a clean condition.
  • Crown screws down and has scratches and marks.
  • Bracelet is in a poor condition, with heavy wear and signs of stretching, twisting or distortion of the links. The penultimate link of the bracelet is broken and has an incorrectly sized centre link.
  • Clasp is currently functioning and shows visible scratches and marks.
  • Due to the condition of the bracelet, we are unable to provide an inside measurement.
