A late 19th century silver and 9ct gold diamond bow brooch.

Condition Report

A late 19th century silver and 9ct gold diamond bow brooch. The old-cut diamond, to the similarly-cut diamond loops and ribbon. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.65ct, I-J colour, SI2-P1 clarity. Length 3.8cms. Weight 8.1gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Significant discolouration and tarnishing to silver setting, several of the claws to the central diamond have broken off. The diamond would need to be secured.
  • Areas of pitting to reverse of brooch
  • Estimated total outer diamond weight 2cts, estimated H-J colour, SI1-P2 clarity. Some settings may need to be secured.
  • Diamond fairly well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
