A sapphire and diamond brooch.

Condition Report

A mid 20th century continental sapphire and diamond brooch. The alternating old-cut diamond and circular-shape sapphire line, within a rose-cut diamond oval-shape surround. Principal diamonds estimated total weight 0.70ct. Length 4.5cms. Weight 9.1gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition good. There are scratches to the brooch in keeping with overall wear. There are dents visible in places. The sapphires are fairly well matched and in good condition, there are some areas of abrasion to the sapphires visible with the unaided eye. The diamonds are bright, some appear to be drawing significant yellow, there are inclusions visible with magnification. One old-cut diamond has been replaced with a brilliant-cut diamond. There are chips to some of the rose-cut diamonds, visible with magnification. Some settings may need to be secured.
