A George IV 15ct gold split pearl and diamond memorial brooch, the rose-cut diamond forget-me-not, to the woven hair panel, within a split pearl curved rectangular-shape surround. Personal engraving to reverse "Mary Colston, Ob 1st Aug't, 1829." Length 2.6cms. Weight 6.1gms.

Purchasing information-
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Later safety chain mount, soft solder visible. Split pearls well matched. Diamond panel secured to woven hair with threads of hair. The diamonds appear bright and well matched, estimated total diamond spread weight 0.15ct, which is no indication of the total diamond weight. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades.
