Condition Report

A mid 20th century tourmaline and cultured pearl brooch. The oval-shape orangey-pink tourmaline, within a cultured pearl intertwined loop surround. Length 3.3cms. Weight 8.9gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • The cultured pearls vary in colour, blisters, blemishes and areas of damage to the nacre.
  • There are some areas of dark discolouration to the interlooped surround.
  • Tourmaline medium orangey pink, with a moderate saturation of colour.
  • Tourmaline in fair condition, abrasion to the facet edges of the tourmaline visible with the unaided eye.
  • Foreign marks to pin.
