Condition Report

A selection of plates and dishes to include The Peter Scott Christmas Plate 1974, a silver plate depicting an etched scene of 'Barnacle Geese over the Solway' by Peter Scott, in fitted case with certificate, hallmarked John Pinches (Medallists) Ltd, London 1974, diameter measures 8 inches (20.4 cm). Together with a Birmingham Mint Christmas 1974 silver plate, depicting an embossed Charles Dickens scene by V Danks, in fitted case with certificate confirming issue 209/750, hallmarked J R Gaunt & Son, Sheffield 1974, a silver Commonwealth Silver Jubilee plate, number 98/2000, hallmarked Roberts & Dore Ltd, London 1977, two silver crown dishes to mark the centenary of the birth of Sir Winston Churchill and the Silver Jubilee of her Majesty the Queen, plus a further ceramic Tewkesbury plate. Gross weighable silver 29 ozt (902.9 grams). (6).

Purchasing information
    In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. All plates and dishes have their certificates present, each in a fitted case, the Sir Winston Churchill crown dish number 582, the Silver Jubilee crown dish numbered 582/3000 and the ceramic Tewkesbury plate number 89/1350 and the Birmingham Mint Christmas plate signed V Danks. Hallmarks clear and legible throughout.
