Condition Report
An Art Deco silver caster, the pierced detachable conical cover with finial, leading to a tapered body with stepped accents, the interior body and cover lined with a white plastic, the whole raised upon a circular stepped foot. Hallmarked Birmingham 1938, maker's mark slightly worn probably Joseph Gloster Ltd., Maximum height measuring 6 6/8 inches (17.3 cm).

Purchasing information-
In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The detachable cover has a screw thread mechanism, partial hallmarks present, both the cover and interior body are lined with a white plastic, some minor chips, both have remnants of polish and sugar visible. Beneath the base of the foot is a black plastic. Maker's mark worn probably Joseph Gloster Ltd., town, date and lion passant are rubbed but still just legible, also marked with the Pat No. 325841.
