A Georgian Exeter silver teapot. (a.f).

Condition Report

A Georgian silver teapot, probably early nineteenth century, the oblong shape raised on four ball feet, with gadroon rim and slightly domed, hinged lid, (a/f). Hallmarked Exeter, maker's mark and date letter very worn. Maximum length measuring 11 1/2 inches (29.2 cm), gross weight 19.69 ozt (612.3 grams).

Purchasing information
    The teapot appears in poor overall condition. With general tarnishing and surface wear, marks and scratches. Several surface dints and bumps and heavy damage and repairs to the main body, mainly visible to one side of the spout. Hinged lid in fairly good condition with some slight movement, with ebonised finial. Handle with a lot of movement, fixing pins are loose, likely replacement insulators. Hallmarks very worn.
