Three 20th century silver mugs & a Victorian silver beaker.

Condition Report

Three silver mugs, the first example of cylindrical form with scroll acanthus capped handle, raised upon a skirted base, with engraved initials and dates within a foliate surround, hallmarked Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1911. Together with a small mug of plain baluster form with scroll handle, upon circular stepped base, hallmarks rubbed and indistinct, a converted mug of plain bellied form with flat capped handle, upon spreading circular base, with later added spout, hallmarked William Neale & Son Ltd, Birmingham 1934, plus a Victorian silver beaker, of tapering cylindrical form, with oblique fluting beneath a plain upper band with personal engraving, hallmarked Atkin Brothers, Sheffield 1891, height 4 inches (10cm). Total weight 13.83 ozt (430.4 grams). (3).

    In fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. First example with small nick to rim. Second example with dents and knocks, rim and foot uneven. Third example with later added jug spout.
